Description

Thomas R Hart was an English Victorian sporting painter. Active during the middle of the 19th century his work is very similar to the paintings of J.F.Herring and Harry Hall.
This piece is a wonderful scene of a racehorse with his owner. I'm sure it was painted for the owner to remember his horse winning a race.
The quality is very fine with a wonderful expression on the owner's face and a finely worked horse body.
It is framed in its original gold leaf Victorian frame.
