George Thompson

This is a lovely painting from the well known Wirral artist George Thompson, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner in his customary fashion. The scene is of Shaftesbury Avenue London, and has a misty quality and subtle toning that is very attractive.
George Thompson was born in Wigan in 1934, but moved to Chester at the age of eleven. He studied Fine Art (painting) at Chester School of Art
