Michel Marie Poulain
Poulaon was born 5 December 1906, in Nogent-sur-Marne.
He was a painter of figures, scenes with figures, landscapes, flowers.
Poulain was a colourful figure who handled a broad range of subjects, particularly views of old Montmartre. From 1931, he took part in the Salon d'Hiver, the Salon des Indépendants, the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Tuileries, and his work was regularly on show in Montmartre galleries and on the Left Bank, as well as in Stockholm, Madrid, New York and Rio de Janeiro.
He also painted murals in the chapel of penitents in Èze.
Groups of his works were exhibited in solo exhibitions.
