Brugairolles was a French landscape painter, born in the southern Languedoc region of France in 1869. He studied with Fernand Cormon, a Parisian history painter who ran the Atelier Cormon in the 1880s. Cormon attempted to aid his students in gaining accepted at the annual Salons, and he was successful with Brugairolles, who exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1900 until 1936.
