Palamero, Sicily

Zaro Violante was a painter from Sicily.
A wonderful group of paintings, and a wonderful story behind how they ended up in the US.
These were purchased by a lady on her Honeymoon back in 1900..she and her husband were on a round the world trip and whilst in Sicily they met the artist and bought these seven paintings.
The granddaughter of this lady wanted to down size and also wanted the pieces to be passed on to others to enjoy the story and the paintings.
So they were cleaned and framed in the Uk
The artist inscribed all the pieces on the reverse.
