Pretty and well-painted, View of Vevey on the north shore of Lake Geneva.
Dating from the early 20th century this painting would have been painted for one of the many visitors who would have gone to Vevey to holiday or live by the picturesque Lake Geneva.
This is a very well-painted example of such a piece. Oils on a card, it is inscribed and signed on the reverse.
The label on the reverse, Loretz and Co. Liverpool related to a department store that was active in the late 19th century through the early part of the 20th century. They sold high-quality artisan products such as William Morris ceramics.
The painting has been framed in an English Swept hand-made frame.
